Our world loves to talk about love, but it struggles to know what real love is. Is it a warm, fuzzy feeling? Is it sexual attraction? Is love something people fall into and fall out of over time? Our world loves to talk about love, but the world’s love doesn’t seem to last.
Because true love can only be found in Jesus! Here’s Jesus’ definition of love: “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). Want to know what love is? Look at Jesus. He loves you so much that he left heaven to come and live here on earth. He loves you so much that he sacrificed his own life so that you could be forgiven—his friend! He loves you so much that he’s prepared a home for you in his house of heaven. Want love? You can find it in Jesus!
I hope you’re taking advantage of special opportunities to hear about Jesus’ love this Lenten season. You need more than Facebook posts to keep your faith strong and growing. You need Jesus and his Word again and again! Check out your church’s midweek Lenten services. Maybe there’s one you can attend this week!
